Help and answers

Care4AU frequently asked questions

Clear answers for participants, families, coordinators and support providers across Australia.

Is Care4AU free for people looking for support?

Yes. Participants, families, carers and support coordinators can browse services and submit a request at no cost. A request helps explain the type of support, location and contact preference so the next step is clearer.

Do I need to know the exact NDIS or aged-care service name?

No. You can describe what everyday support would be useful, such as help at home, transport, therapy, social participation, personal care or equipment. Care4AU is designed to make the starting point simple.

What information should I include in a support request?

Include your preferred contact details, suburb or postcode, the support you are seeking, timing, funding type if you know it and any practical preferences. Do not include an NDIS number, date of birth, diagnosis, medical reports or detailed health information.

How are providers listed?

Providers can create and manage a profile with services, service areas, funding accepted and current capacity. Care4AU reviews profiles before they are presented as a complete, usable listing.

Does a Care4AU listing guarantee work for providers?

No. A listing helps the right people find a provider when they have capacity. Families and participants always choose who to contact, and providers should keep their information accurate and current.

Can a support coordinator use Care4AU?

Yes. Coordinators can submit a free request with the participant’s consent and contact preferences, then use the directory to compare suitable services. The participant’s choice remains central.

What if a provider profile is incorrect or out of date?

Use Report a concern. Care4AU can review incorrect contact details, duplicate profiles, old service information and other listing problems.
