Provider quality and listing standards
Care4AU exists to make support information easier to understand. Every provider who claims or creates a listing must describe their services accurately, keep their contact details current and communicate in a respectful, accessible way.
What a useful listing includes
A quality profile explains who the provider supports, where services are available, whether there is current capacity, the supports offered, funding arrangements, accessibility information and how to make contact. Vague claims such as “we support everyone” are not enough for people trying to make an informed choice.
Standards we expect
- Accurate business identity and contact details
- Clear service descriptions and realistic service areas
- Respect for privacy, choice and cultural needs
- Honest information about registration, qualifications and funding compatibility
- Prompt updates when services, availability or contact details change
What we do when a listing is inaccurate
We review reports from participants, families, coordinators and providers. We may request clarification, amend information, pause a profile or remove a listing where information cannot be supported. A directory profile is never a guarantee that a service is suitable, available or the right fit for every person.
Choosing with confidence
Ask providers about capacity, fees, cancellations, communication, staff continuity and how they handle concerns. Compare more than one option where possible. Your needs and preferences should lead the decision.
